Stereo Dust Particles Mooler Caster Console Mirror

The purpose of this web page is to provide an alternative download location for the software known as the Stereo Dust Particles Mooler Caster console. This software was written by Ben A., who is also known within the SDP Group as "IfYouLikeGoodIdeas". This mirror is offered as a convenience and high availability measure.

The bozo who operates this mirror has been very lazy (and should likely be reported immediately to Phil for this and many other broadcasting-related sins), so it is way out of date. It will be brought back up to date.

The Mooler Caster Console is a very capable, lightweight Java program that provides an easy way to DJ tracks from your personal music collection. As such, it's well suited to use on older or more limited computer hardware that has found its home in so many of our studios. Most systems capable of running Java 8 can also make use of the MCC. Linux users may need to ensure that the JavaFX package is also installed.

If you've got a question about the Mooler Caster Console, the best place to ask is the Stereo Dust Particles Forum. This is where you'll find the latest information about the MCC's development, along with the latest releases. You're always welcome to send e-mail to me, though I'm not the best person to ask about the MCC.

Download Links

The old stable version is 1.08. You can download it here, along with the source code if you are interested in that.

Version 2.00 of the Mooler Caster Console has officially been released. Click here to download it. Source code for this release is also available. Version 2.00 is a major overhaul of the MCC and brings with it a huge list of new features. Amongst other things, full playlist management, the ability to link consoles together and integration with the Low End Radio Music Request System are now available. Development has also moved to Github. (This mirror will continue to be maintained.)

Although it's likely in need of an update, the Quick Start Guide awaits your perusal.

Older versions of the Mooler Caster Console (and their respective source code archives) are available here.
