Bedrug

As part of the latest upgrade for my 2003 S-10 I wanted to get a bedliner of some type installed, as well as a truck topper.

I looked a variety of options for pickup truck bedliners. None of them were quite what I wanted. I knew right off the bat that plastic drop in liners can crack or weather undesireably. Sprayed in liners presented a better option, but the quality of the job was largely determined by the person installing it. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do, as none of the readily available choices really seemed appropriate.

I read and participate in the alt.trucks.chevy newsgroup and that's where I first heard of the Bedrug product. I did some studying at the Bedrug website and got to thinking that this was the bedliner I was really looking for!

I saved my money for a while and managed to get a good package deal on a minorly used topper and the Bedrug from a nearby truck accessories shop. When all was said and done regarding the installation, the end result was simply breathtaking. Okay, maybe not breathtaking, but this thing blows all other bed liner products out of the water in my opinion.

The pictures provided at the Bedrug website don't even begin to do the quality and fit of the rug any justice at all. For those who are interested, this page has a few pictures of the general installation process and the finished result. Take a look...you will be impressed!

Will it wear well? Only time is going to tell. I sure hope so, but if not, I've always got the lifetime warranty.

Before the Bedrug. (See it in a roll to the left?) Note banged up bed. That is a water leak on the floor, although I was going to leave it to the super sleuths to figure out what liquid that was!)
TAKE YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER -- THAT'S WATER!

After the rug was installed. Notice the vast difference!

Update: About a year later, the Bedrug still looks brand new if I clean it. I've had quite a few things in my truck's bed since then, including sharp metal cases, trash, vegetation and computers. While the occasional small patch of Bedrug "fur" has come up, it does not seem to cause a problem and isn't noticeable. I'm very impressed with the Bedrug product.
