The purpose of this diskette is to flash the firmware located on the
IBM PCI RAID adapter to version 2.43.
 
The current version of the firmware is displayed at boot up.  If this
currently 2.43, do not run this update, it is not necessary.
 
 
 
This is a self booting diskette. When this diskette is booted
the following will be displayed.
 
THIS FLASH IS TO BE USED ONLY WITH IBM PCI RAID CONTROLLERS
THAT HAVE THE SMALL DAUGHTER BOARD MARKED WITH DAC960LB
ON THE FRONT TOP
 
IT IS NOT FOR USE ONOTHER IBM RAID CONTROLLERS))))
 
The program then searches the hardware for the signature indicating
that there is a RAID adapter installed.
 
NOTE: Be certain that the correct RAID adapter is installed.
Some RAID adapters have similar signatures.
 
Once the adapter is located a message similar to the following is displayed.
 
 
  First RAID Controller found at slot 1
 
  Hit any key to proceed ...
 
After about 30-45 seconds the following is displayed.
 
 New code successfully programmed.   Hit any key to reboot ...
 First RAID Controller successfully programmed.
 
When the system reboots, the version of the firmware on adapter is displayed.
It should be 2.43.
