PCMCIA utility for the ThinkPad 760E/EL/ELD/ED January 2, 1997 This file will reduce the heat generated in the PCMCIA socket when using Windows 95** when a PCMCIA modem is in use. File required: TPTHRCTL.VXD 8909 bytes, CRC=x'D1C8' Installation instructions ------------------------- 1. Extract the PCMCIA Utility onto the hard drive. 2. Click Start -> Programs -> MS-DOS Prompt. 3. Type "cd \drivers\w95\patch" and press enter. 4. Type "Copy TPTHRCTL.VXD c:\windows\system". 5. Edit c:\windows\system.ini file and add the following line under the 386enh section: Device=TPTHRCTL.VXD 6. Reboot the system. 7. This will enable the utility.
