PCMCIA utility for the ThinkPad 760E/EL/ELD/ED           January 2, 1997

This file will reduce the heat generated in the PCMCIA socket when using
Windows 95** when a PCMCIA modem is in use.

File required: TPTHRCTL.VXD    8909 bytes, CRC=x'D1C8'

Installation instructions
-------------------------
1. Extract the PCMCIA Utility onto the hard drive.
2. Click Start -> Programs -> MS-DOS Prompt.
3. Type "cd \drivers\w95\patch"  and press enter.
4. Type "Copy TPTHRCTL.VXD c:\windows\system".
5. Edit c:\windows\system.ini file and add the following line
   under the 386enh section: Device=TPTHRCTL.VXD
6. Reboot the system.
7. This will enable the utility.  It will then be effective during
   serial communication of the modem card.To disable the utility,
   remark out or remove the following line in the
   c:\windows\system.ini file: device=TPTHRCTL.VXD
