OS/2 WARP "SLEEP MODE" SUPPORT FOR THE IBM THINKPAD WITH TEAC-40E CD-ROM DRIVES


This release provides "sleep mode" support for the TEAC-40E CD-ROM drive found
on the IBM ThinkPad 755, 760, and 365 families.   "Sleep Mode" support exploits
the power management capabilities of the TEAC CD-ROM drive.

This README file is formatted for viewing on your screen.  You can:

    1.0 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


To install:



1) Open a OS2 window or full screen

2) Type "cd c:\os2\boot" and press Enter.
   (where c: is the OS/2 boot drive)

3) Type "rename os2cdrom.dmd os2cdrom.ret" and press Enter.

4) Type "copy a:\os2cdrom.dmd" and press Enter.
   (where a: is the drive where the new file resides)

5) Shutdown the system and restart for changes to take affect.
          

    2.0  COMPATIBILITY

OS/2 Sleep Mode Support is compatible with OS/2 Warp Version 3.  This support 
is not required for OS/2 Warp 4.
