Readme.txt Use this file if you have received 'Invalid Partition Table' while trying to preform a recovery on 2134/2176 Cxx Machines. This file changes INT13 extensions of the hard disk to work with the recovery CD ROM and the BIOS of the computer. To run this file, simply type in 'FIXPAR.COM' at a DOS command line. The FIXPART program that will alter the partition IDs from 0E to 06, and/or 0F to 05, to make the partition(s) compatible with Recovery and other operating systems. Here is the correct procedure for using FIXPART: - Create the partition(s) using FDISK on the Recovery CD. - Run FIXPART. A message will be displayed for each partition (Primary and Extended) that is altered. A final message, "The hard disk has been prepared for Recovery", indicates it is done. - Boot the Recovery CD and proceed normally.
