ATI435US.EXE

This executable is a self-extracting archive which contains updated video drivers for Aptiva 2159, 2161, 2162, 2176, 2140 and 2142 systems.

Instructions:

1.  Copy ATI435US.EXE to an empty directory.
2.  Execute the file to extract the updated drivers.
3.  Go to "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel".
4.  Double-click the "Display" icon.
5.  Click on the "Settings" tab.
6.  Click the "Advanced Properties" button.
7.  Click on the "Change..." button.
8.  Click the "Have Disk..." button.
9.  In the "Copy manufacturer's files from:" box, type the drive and path of the directory you extracted the drivers (e.g. C:\temp).
10. In the '"Models" window, select "ATI Rage Pro (DirectX)(12-19-1997)" if you have a 2140/2142 system or "ATI 3D RAGE II (English) (DirectDraw)" if you have a 2159, 2161, 2162, or 2176 system.
11. The drivers will be installed.  After this has finished, click the "Close" button.
12. Click the "Close" button again.
13. Click the "Yes" button to restart the computer.

Note: These drivers provide Direct X 5 compatibility.
