at FreeDNS:
I don't profess to be an all-knowing system administrator of any degree.
However,
I can profess the good work being done by Josh at FreeDNS. Among other
things, his site provides web-users with the necessary services to have
their own Subdomain or Domain name, among other things.
Apparently,
this can serve a multitude of purposes, many of which I am un-aware of
and don't particularly care for at the present.
I am proud of
the fact this entirely home-grown content is being served by products
provided free of charge to the wider community. Not only am I proud of
their work and what they stand for, I am also thankful such a service exists for intrepid persons such as myself who choose to host from home. A BIG round of applause for them! :-)
